The Process
The process of cartooning various according to artists, but the basic stages are much the same: pencil, then ink for black-and-white work, and pencil and perhaps ink, then colour for full colour pieces. The piece below was a commission from the Royal College of General Practioners.
Then you begin working on the foreground figures
